
Training Stages - Integrated.
Below is outlined the basic phases of Integrated ATPL Training along with approximate timings for each stage
ATPL Ground School.
28 weeks
The first part of your ATPL journey will start with Ground School where you will study 13 subjects and sit exams in each, as well as the KSA module. More information on Ground School can be found here.
Initial SEP Flying.
22 weeks
Now the exciting part – you’ll start out learning the basic flying skills on a Single Engine Piston (SEP) aircraft, before moving onto navigation and instrument flying
CPL - Commercial Pilot’s Licence.
4 - 8 Weeks
The next phase looks towards completing your Commercial Pilots Liscecn, putting all your flying into practice with a skills test to award your license. Depending on you your train with, your CPL may be conducted on either Complex SEP (e.g. Piper Arrow) or a Multi-Engine aircraft (e.g. Diamond DA42 / Piper Seminole)
MEIR - Multi-Engine Instrument Rating
6 Weeks
Conducted in UK airspace, your Instrument rating will be conducted on a MEP aircraft
AUPRT - Advanced Upset Prevention & Recovery Training.
1-2 weeks
Consisting of 3 hours of theory and practical training in an aerobatics aircraft, you will learn how to recover an aircraft unusual attitudes
APS MCC - Airline Preparation Standard Multi-Crew Cooperation.
3 week
This is the part where you transfer you’re knowledge of how to fly a small aircraft into flying a large commercial air transport jet aircraft as well as learning important CRM + MCC skills
fATPL Complete - Job Hunt
Once your training is successfully completed, your can apply for your license and start applying for jobs.
